Everyday Bumps and Bruises January 22, 2008
Posted by Serious in : Muscle Bruises , add a commentThe older we get the more easily we bruise. Blood vessels become more fragile as we age which contributes to the fact that a bruise can occur without a prior injury. Conversely it takes quite a bit of force to produce a bruise in a young child. The amount of bruising may also be affected by medications that interfere with blood clotting, alllowing more blood to bleed into the bruised area. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS), aspirin or anything that acts as a blood thinner all interfere with blood clotting. If possible the first course of action should be to cool the area down by using an ice pack and taking an all-natual pain & inflammation relief formula such as NMS Neuromuscular Support.

At the very least you are going to wind up with the occasional muscle strain because you got a little too happy on the ball field or because your cycling buddy challenged you to a race, and you’re not 19 anymore. At the more extreme end, you may even wind up with muscle bruises, which you can get from being pounced on by football players, falling from a horse, and all kinds of other ways. Don’t worry. Relief is at hand.
