$86 Billion Spent on Back, Neck Pain March 21, 2008
Posted by Serious in : Pain Relief , trackbackA Study published in the Feb. 13 issue of Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has determined that the cost of diagnosis and treatment of back and neck pain has risen 65% from 1997 to 2005 to about $86 billion a year. This is about equal to the annual health care expenditures for cancer, arthritis and diabetes. A major conclusion of the study was that despite the dramatic rise in expenditures for back and neck pain there was little improvement seen in patients health. A big part of the increased costs was over a 400% increase in expenditures related to the prescribing and use of narcotics to treat the problems encountered, without really addressing the addiction resulting from long term use. Individuals with back and neck pain who have been using the new all-natural pain & inflammation supplement NMS Neuromuscular Support have been reporting some amazing pain relief results.
